Neverfail® Joins Microsoft SQL Server Always On Program
Neverfail®, a leading global software company providing affordable continuous availability and disaster recovery solutions, recently announced that it is one of the first Independent Software Vendors (ISV) to provide seamless application availability through integrated data replication, monitoring and failover to support Microsoft SQL Server Always On Technologies. The SQL Server Always On program enables mission-critical applications to meet the highest levels of availability with minimal planned or unplanned downtime. As part of the SQL Server Always On program, Neverfail's solution has been carefully reviewed by Microsoft to meet the software solution requirements.
Neverfail for SQL Server is a combination of database replication, monitoring and seamless failover/failback which delivers SQL Server Always On. To ensure a complete and up to date replica of your SQL Server is always available, Neverfail for Microsoft SQL Server proactively monitors your SQL Server databases, including all system and data tables, looking for data changes and to identify all the components that need to be protected. It then reconfigures itself continuously to ensure that all database changes (including new databases and file groups) are included in its replication set. Neverfail for Microsoft SQL Server also proactively monitors the health of your entire SQL Server environment, including physical server hardware, network infrastructure and operating system. If any problem occurs, Neverfail can take a variety of pre-emptive, corrective actions without resorting to a full system failover. If required, a graceful switchover to your secondary server can occur automatically, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery and continuous data protection.
"We are very excited to be one of the first software solutions for integrated database replication and application monitoring to be recognized as a part of the Always On Program." said Paddy Falls, CTO of Neverfail. "Neverfail for SQL Server ensures maximum availability of SQL Server through planned and unplanned outages. The flexibility to provide local and remote configurations further extends the choices for Microsoft customers to deliver applications that are always on."
"We are pleased to welcome Neverfail as an ISV offering database replication and monitoring into the SQL Server Always On program" said Mark Jewett, director of SQL Server Marketing at Microsoft Corp. "Together we will provide our mutual customers a reliable and resilient solution for maintaining high availability of their database deployments."
For mission-critical applications such as SQL Server, downtime can result in lost productivity, customer dissatisfaction, lost revenue, and even damage to reputation. Because of this, uptime of the application is of the utmost importance. SQL Server Always On Technologies provide a full range of options to minimize downtime and maintain appropriate levels of application availability. SQL Server Always On Technologies increase availability, decrease downtime, and improve manageability by predicting and monitoring the application for an outage, protecting against the outage by automatically failing over, and keeping users connected to the database to ensure company performance.
In addition to the SQL Server Always On program, Neverfail is a member of the Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Program and is a US Managed ISV Alliance Partner.
