iSCSI Solutions: iStor Networks Delivers High Performance iSCSI Solutions On An SMB Budget at 2007 qLogic Fusion In San Diego

iStor Networks, Inc., one of the leading manufacturer of network storage solutions, demonstrated its flagship GigaStorATX at qLogic Fusion, May 9th and 10th in San Diego.

Small and medium sized businesses now have access to enterprise-level performance at attractive SMB level pricing. The GigaStorATX provides industry one of the leading iSCSI performance achieving over 80,000 IOPS for I/O intensive applications and up to 1160MB/Sec on bandwidth-streaming applications and is available as a 1GbE solution with up to 8 ports or a single port 10GbE package.

"Our global participation in the qLogic Fusion event enables us to demonstrate the enterprise level features of the GigaStor at extremely compelling pricing to our valued channel partners," said Peter Cmaylo, vice president of worldwide sales and business development at iStor Networks.

iStor Networks in the Exhibition Pavilion will utilize iSCSI infrastructure which includes the QLA4052C HBA from QLogic and the iS325 storage system from iStor. QLogic and iStor's solutions deliver total system performance improvement for a wide variety of configurations. iStor will be demonstrating VMware Player which lets you evaluate new or pre-release software and Operating Systems contained in virtual machines without any installation or configuration hassles. The combination of VMWare, the QLA4052C and the iS325 will enable a best in class network storage solution utilizing iSCSI for a variety of customer applications.

The iStor demonstrations will utilize the iS325 storage system, which combines the speed of the GigaStorATX controller with the capacity of a flexible chassis. The iS325 supports up to 15 high capacity Serial ATA drives, providing compelling total cost of ownership for block-based applications such as email, database, video, imaging, disk-to-disk backup and near line storage. Additionally, the iS325 is an ideal solution to replace Direct Attached Storage (DAS) which used in conjunction with the QLogic products will provide a very robust virtualized shared storage environment. Additionally, iStor will showcase Microsoft Volume Services (VSS) to demonstrate point in time copies, which is paramount for customers' data protection strategy. The iStor solution is perfect for a single site or multiple distributed locations by providing a SAN extension capability over IP based WANs and address SAN/NAS consolidation across a single unified fabric.

iStor Networks' products and solutions will be on exhibit at qLogic Fusion 2007 at the Manchester Hyatt in San Diego in booth 102.

iStor's channel team will travel later this year with qLogic to Europe and Asia supporting this worldwide tour.
