Intransa Shared, Scalable IP Storage To Be On Display At ISC West With Multiple Partners

Intransa, the global leader of shared, scalable and simple external IP storage solutions for video and IT customer needs, recently announced its latest generation products will be on display in multiple booths at ISC West. Several key Intransa technology evangelists and corporate executives have also been tapped to present in four different forums at the event, which is the largest physical security conference in the United States.

ISC West will be held April 2 – 4 at the Sands Expo and Conference Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2007, the show attracted approximately 25,000 attendees and over 1,000 exhibitors covering more than 300,000 square feet of floor space.

Intransa Technology on Display at ISC West
Intransa staff will be demonstrating the company's advanced IP storage systems in a multiple StorAlliance Technology partner booth along with VideoProtein and Veracity USA, Inc. (booth #5133). The Intransa storage will be the shared scalable IP storage platform for VideoProtein 3.0 in the booth, and integrated with multiple IP network cameras.

Intransa staff will also be available, displaying the latest products in the physical security IP products-only booth hosted by IPVS Magazine (booth #40000), and integrated with Axis Communications IP cameras and Milestone Systems video management, both also co-exhibitors and Intransa StorAlliance Technology partners.

Other Intransa StorAlliance partners with Intransa IP storage integrated with their solutions and on display at the event include AMAG Technology, Inc. (booth #23025), Cisco Systems (booth #23035), JDS Digital Security Systems (booth #8133), and Milestone Systems (booth #4075).

Intransa Executives Present at ISC West
Intransa CEO Bud Broomhead will be a guest speaker on Tuesday April 1 as part of the ISC training program in the Network/IP track. The session, number NI16, is titled "From Analog Capture to IP Video Recording Systems Best Practices in Digital Video Management and Deployment," and runs from 1 to 4 p.m. The full session is led by Panasonic Security System Group Manager of Strategic Technical Liaison, Steve Sufaro. An Intransa IP storage system will also be provided for use in the session led by Mr. Sufaro.

Also on April 1st, at 2:40 p.m. in room 1003, Intransa CTO Alan Rowe will present to the judging committee of the Security Industry Association New Product Showcase (NPS) a new version of the Intransa EdgeBlock IP storage edge recording system. EdgeBlock is being considered for a NPS award in the Video Storage and Distribution category.

Perfect for tight spaces on the edge, EdgeBlock supports 4 to 12TB of hot-swap, enterprise-grade disk drives and supports advanced RAID 0, 1, 5, 6 and 10 in fully fault tolerant configurations. EdgeBlock scales up to 84TB in just 14U, suitable for supporting a few to dozens of IP network cameras, and can upgrade modularly to 1,500TB as part of Intransa StorStac Systems. Many customers use EdgeBlock as a shared, external DVR/NVR storage upgrade, and keep their analog or IP network cameras, video management systems, and cabling intact while increasing capacity for retention, higher resolution and frame rates and using less overall storage to record more.

Finally on April 1st, Intransa VP of Marketing Jeff Whitney, who chairs the company's Advisory Board and also represents it to the Security Industry Association, the Storage Networking Industry Association and The Green Grid organization, will be presenting to Government Infrastructure Security End-User Group (GISEUG). Mr. Whitney will deliver a vendor-neutral session entitled "Scalable IP Video Storage Solutions - Bringing the Benefits of IP to Physical Security & Beyond" in the Security Industry Association's GISEUG Technology Symposium. That session starts at 3:45 p.m. and runs for one hour. Mr. Whitney will also be joining a panel discussion following that session.

On Thursday, April 3rd, Intransa CEO Bud Broomhead will present in the Cisco Systems theatre, booth #23035. The session will start at 1:50 p.m., and will cover the topic of "Shared, Scalable, Simple External IP Storage." Intransa is a Cisco Ecosystem Provider.
