Imation Helps Companies In Regulated Markets Take Control Of Data Storage
Data Storage and Security Experts Dr. James DePuydt and David Duncan to discuss data retention considerations and archiving best practices at Storage Networking World Fall 2011
Two Imation technical leaders, Executive Director for Advanced Technology and Product Engineering, Dr. James DePuydt, and Managing Director of Imation ENCRYPTX Security Products, David Duncan, will share the company's perspective on data storage best practices in highly regulated industries at the Storage Networking World (SNW) Fall 2011 Conference on Oct. 10 at the JW Marriott Grande Lakes in Orlando, Fla.
Dr. DePuydt, a 25-year data storage industry veteran, leads Imation's product engineering laboratory and oversees high-technology research and product development. Duncan, formerly a cryptologist with the National Security Agency who later founded ENCRYPTX, now leads an Imation team focused on advances in data security that protect, encrypt, control, and manage data at rest.
Their presentation, entitled "Archiving Requirements for Regulated Markets," will address the primary data retention and archiving concerns for health care, financial services and other highly regulated markets. In addition, they will offer advice on best application uses for various types of storage media, including magnetic tape, optical disc, hard disk and NAND flash.
