Digi-Data Corporation announced a formal presence in Europe with the opening of a new office in Paris, France. Digi-Data has appointed Franck Borens as the executive director of business development for Europe, Asia and the Middle East. This position consolidates the management of these regions and aligns the company for a stronger international push.

Initially retained as a senior-level consultant, Borens has been successfully driving business for both Digi-Data's storage and online vault divisions for over a year, and has already signed on several partners for the storage systems division. Prior to joining Digi-Data, Borens acquired over 20 years of international experience in a variety of senior sales, marketing and management positions. Borens founded Open Storage Solutions, and eventually developed the first indirect sales channel in France. The industry veteran has also consulted for companies such as Chaparral and Dot Hill.
