High Performance Storage: Digi-Data And FilesX Ink Strategic OEM Agreement

Digi-Data Corporation, manufacturer of storage systems and RAID controllers for digital archives, utility storage and data protection, and FilesX, provider of continuous, 'lights-out' data protection and recovery solutions for remote offices, announced an agreement to provide joint solutions. Digi-Data will install, integrate and support the FilesX adaptive data protection software on the Digi-Data continuous data protection (CDP) appliance.

The partnership will make the CDP appliance quick and easy for customers to set up, running within minutes of initial set-up. The Digi-Data CDP/FilesX solution is ideal for customers consolidating backup infrastructure, hosting their own email or operating critical databases in need of up-to-the-minute protection, as well as for multi-site businesses that are interested in remote office backup for data recovery.

Digi-Data's CDP appliance works with the FilesX software to improve recovery point objectives (RPO) and recovery time objectives (RTO). The appliance also lowers systems and labor costs through unique features like Xpress Mount and Xpress Restore.
