Digital Storage Solutions: Archion Progresses Its Business Into Houses Of Worship With Sales Of Digital Storage Systems

Archion, the entertainment industry's largest storage solution to Avid storage systems, has made significant sales of its digital storage systems to two major churches. The announcement was made by Reuben Lima, COO, Archion.

Regarding the new deals, Mr. Lima, said, "We are very pleased with the opportunity to expand our market into Christian Worship Centers. Churches like Willow Creek and Gateway are technological trend setters. They have embraced the art form of visual aides and various media applications to teach and inspire their congregations. It has been a privilege working with staff members at both Willow Creek and Gateway Church."

Willow Creek Community Church, based in South Barrington, IL, is the largest Christian church in the country. The church has purchased an Archion 4 TB iDEA SAN system. Regarding the sale, Dave Cooke, Chief Video Engineer for Willow Creek, said, "The Archion SAN integrated easily into our five Final Cut Pro-Editing and one After Effects graphics suites. It has really streamlined our workflow and has run 24/7 since its installation. Also, the Archion tech support team has been a pleasure to work with when we have needed technical assistance."

Bill Hybels, Senior Pastor with the Willow Creek Community Church, describes the church this way, "What visitors usually notice first about our Church is the large number of people who attend our weekly services and the more than 100 ministries that meet a wide range of needs. Together, we're striving to become the kind of church described in the Bible—a church with relevant teaching, heart-felt worship, honest friendships, constant prayer, and compassionate care for those in need. In short, we'd like to have the kind of contagious Christianity that can influence and encourage the entire community, one life at a time." For more info, visit www.willowcreek.org/.

Gateway Church, based in Southlake, Texas, has purchased the Archion Alliance Pro SAN for sharing 8TB of storage between (6) Apple/Mac Final Cut Pro non-linear editing systems. The storage will also be available to other workstations over a network for transferring graphic images between editors and graphics designers.

Gateway Church began in the home of Pastor Robert Morris in 2000. This was the long awaited realization of a God-given vision for a church that would minister to people and equip believers to minister to those in their community, around the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and the world. In 2002, Gateway broke ground on a 64,000-sq.-ft. facility at 2121 East Southlake Boulevard in Southlake. Gateway Church's slogan "We're All About People," and the scope and variety of its ministries, reflect its heart to help people of all economic, social and ethnic backgrounds in the Metroplex and around the world.
