Source: Dell, Inc.
The CX300 is an entry-level Dell/EMC RAID storage system with 2Gbps Fibre Channel host interfaces and Fibre Channel disk drives. It is capable of operating as direct attach storage (DAS), in a storage area network (SAN), or attached to Dell PowerVault network attached storage (NAS).

Each system is designed to meet the particular needs of your organization during different phases of its growth. For instance, the Dell/EMC CX300 array is small in size and price, but offers large capacity. The CX300 boasts cached performance of up to 680 MB/s and 50,000 I/Os per second. Available in a rack-mount chassis, the Dell/EMC CX300 provides an attractive storage entry point of just five disk drives that scale dynamically to 60.

The Dell/EMC CX300 storage system is ideal for organizations deploying cost-effective Windows, Linux, NetWare, and UNIX workgroup SAN and direct-attach storage solutions. It offers the ease of management and performance required by companies running file/print, e-mail, light database, and Web services applications.
