Data Storage Certification: Xiotech Storage System Receives Certification With VMware Infrastructure
VMware ESX Server 3.0 Certified with Magnitude 3D 3000 Network Storage Solutions
Xiotech® Corporation announced that Xiotech's Magnitude 3D® 3000 storage system has received VMware ESX Server 3.0 certification. Magnitude 3D 3000 was added to the VMware ESX Server 3.0 "Storage/SAN Compatibility Guide," after successfully completing compatibility testing and illustrating how organizations can take advantage of a fully virtualized storage and server infrastructure.
The VMware Infrastructure, which includes ESX Server, allows multiple applications to run in virtual machines on the same physical server, improving hardware use and decreasing capital costs. Xiotech customers are increasingly using ESX Server software to enhance efficiency of their server environments.

The combination of Magnitude 3D 3000 storage systems with VMware ESX Server enables midsized enterprises to easily and affordably deploy a fully virtualized storage and server environment. The Magnitude 3D 3000 family fully supports the boot-from-the-SAN feature of ESX Server, which further simplifies deployments and management of the ESX Server software.
