Compared to other virtualization technologies, Parallels Virtuozzo Containers offers the highest levels of density, performance and manageability. Since Peer Software products are not are not tied to a specific hard disk, as long as a drive is visible by the Virtuozzo Container as a local drive, Peer Software products will be able to read and monitor its content.
"Server virtualization technologies have provided a powerful solution for companies requiring increased computing capabilities to run and grow their business. However, backup technologies have generally not kept pace with the challenges presented in virtualized environments," said Paul Marsala, CEO of Peer Software. "Peer Software and Parallels are committed to ensure that Parallels Virtuozzo Containers customers have a solid foundation for their data availability and disaster recovery requirements."
"Parallels is excited that Peer Software products are certified with Parallels Virtuozzo Containers, allowing Peer to offer customers trusted and compatible replication and disaster recovery solutions," said Bryan Goode, Director of Business Development, Parallels. "Peer's participation in the Parallels Certification Program demonstrates continued interest by ISV and channel partners in Parallels Virtuozzo Containers."
Peer Software offers Parallels Virtuozzo Containers customers real-time file replication capabilities with its PeerSync Server product line. Microsoft SQL backup and Microsoft Exchange backup are also available through our Peer DRS product line.
