AXS-One Positioned Within 'Visionaries Quadrant' In Leading Industry Analyst Firm's 2008 Active E-mail Archiving Report
AXS-One Inc., a leading provider of high-performance records compliance management (RCM) solutions, recently announced that it has been cited in the visionaries quadrant of Gartner Inc.'s 2008 analysis of the e-mail archiving market.
The 2008 report, titled "Magic Quadrant for E-Mail Active Archiving" was written by Gartner Research Vice Presidents Carolyn DiCenzo and Kenneth Chin on May 20, 2008.
"We are extremely honored that Gartner has evaluated and placed us in the visionaries quadrant of its Active E-mail Archiving Report," said Bill Lyons, CEO of AXS-One. "We are particularly pleased that we received this designation in 2008 – a year in which we're seeing a sharp increase in the demand for comprehensive archiving solutions as companies grapple with the challenges of new electronic data formats, increased litigation and e-discovery requests, and evolving compliance requirements. We just recorded our strongest revenue quarter in history and we expect that type of performance to continue in 2008."
E-mail archiving is a fully integrated component of the AXS-One Compliance Platform, a single, scalable software platform that enables organizations to manage growing volumes of disparate electronic records, addressing cost management, corporate governance, legal discovery and regulatory compliance. The integrated content archiving platform includes fully developed support for a broad range of e-mail servers — including MS Exchange and Lotus Notes, as well as Sun Microsystems Java Messaging Server (JMS) and SMTP-based formats — in addition to instant messages, files, reports, desktop documents, images, SAP documents and data and other digital content.
Gartner, the leading provider of research and analysis on the global information technology industry with more than 60,000 clients worldwide, described the e-mail archiving market as targeting vendors "that not only provide for the capture of all e-mail messages but also use that archive to allow for the purging of messages from the active mail data store while giving the end user the illusion of an infinite mailbox." For ability to execute, products were evaluated for both basic and advanced functionality, with special focus on archive scalability and storage management capabilities, mailbox management, compliance supervision, legal discovery, and integration with other related technologies.
"Clearly, corporate America is recognizing the need for archiving solutions in light of these and other emerging challenges. We believe receiving this placement, which we consider recognition from Gartner, confirms that our state-of-the-art archiving solutions are successfully keeping pace with the needs of the market," Mr. Lyons added.
With AXS-One solutions, all records are managed according to corporate policies, from initial capture and indexing through archiving, retention, preservation and ultimate destruction. This functionality helps address corporate governance, legal discovery and regulatory compliance, along with operational efficiency. Patent-pending search technology enables organizations to respond quickly and accurately to the growing pressures of e-discovery and litigation support. AXS-One's lead in the Lotus Notes archiving market has been recognized by a number of industry awards, including the Lotus Advisor Award for 2007.
