The iS512-10G addresses 10GbE customer networks with support of 10GbE for the iSCSI host interface, and features a modular 2U chassis supporting up to 12 SAS or SATA drives for both primary storage and nearline storage applications. iS512-10G features expandability with two (x4) SAS expansion ports, controlling up to 36 drives.
The "10G" extends its unique host performance bandwidth to iS512-SX expansion arrays enabling high performance capacity expansion. The iS512-10G combines a single port of 10GbE for host connectivity with two separate ports of SAS expansion per controller (2x competitive performance). This unique iS512-10G combination provides scalability without loss of performance. Both the iS512-10G & iS512-SX 2U chassis support up to 12 drives. The iS512-10G supports up to two expansion units (iS512-SX) per system controller for a total of 36 high performance, high-capacity SAS drives. iS512-10G offers compelling block-based network storage solutions for primary, tiered, and nearline storage applications.
