The Spectra nTier700 is designed specifically for backup and archival data — all data that is no longer in active use and is ready to be moved off primary disk. The nTier700 scales from 10-60 TB in only 4U of rack space. It also consumes less power and occupies less space than disk appliances, letting you cost-effectively store data after it leaves the expensive primary disk. It provides an integrated, flexible, and powerful storage platform that you manage with the proven, easy-to-use BlueScale.
Data backed up and stored to tape is increasingly on-call and accessed in ways — and time frames — that were inconceivable when automated data backup hardware and software were initially developed. Tape does what it was meant to do: store data for a long time.
