Paving the path to the next generation data center, SANpulse Technologies, Inc. recently announced that its SANlogics offering has been recognized by Bloor Research International Ltd. as a leading solution for automated storage resource management (SRM), data migration, data center consolidation, governance regulation and compliance (GRC) for applying business policy rules and reducing risk. Bloor, in its recent solution overview report, "Storage Optimisation: SANpulse," rated the SANlogics solution a high 4.4 for SAN resource discovery and 4.5 for data migration on its rigorous five-point scale.

The Bloor research report discusses their view on the requirements for storage optimization including features in the following categories: SAN resource discovery; performance monitoring and management; capacity reporting, planning, provisioning and recommendations; data migration; and business-aware functionality and agility. The report also provides an analysis of SANlogics in each of these categories in which the product received particularly high marks in the areas of SAN resource discovery and data migration.

According to the Bloor report, SANpulse, using its SANlogics software, has solved two major enterprise problems in data and infrastructure management.

• It offers a comprehensive solution for the delivery of up-to-date visibility of customers' ever-changing, complex, multi-vendor infrastructure, maintaining it to an optimal level without needing excessive staffing resources.
• It offers automated data migration capabilities, providing efficient migration across heterogeneous environments.
