InMage ScoutCloud Enables MSPs And Cloud Providers To Quickly And Economically Address The Recovery As A Service Market

InMage is addressing the growing market for cloud-based disaster recovery with the introduction of the InMage ScoutCloud platform. InMage ScoutCloud combines four key enablers that typically take years to develop in house, or must be procured from different vendors. These include: best in class data protection; a comprehensive physical-to-virtual and virtual-to-virtual recovery engine that supports failover/failback for all applications; automated provisioning of virtual machines and associated storage, combined with a full-fledged multi-tenant portal for deployment and management. This enables managed service and cloud providers to have the fastest time to market when offering customers near zero RPO and RTO capable Recovery as a Service (RaaS).

InMage also announced a new partner program that enables MSPs and cloud providers to quickly and competitively take advantage of the emerging Recovery as a Service market. Partners will be equipped with sales tools and resources, as well as receive training and expert support directly from InMage, making it simple to extend the benefits of cloud-based recovery to their customers.

"Our strategy in delivering cloud-based IT services is to integrate best-in-class enterprise solutions," said Shahin Pirooz, EVP and CTO, CenterBeam Inc. "After thoroughly researching the market, we determined that InMage's ScoutCloud technology was an ideal fit with our value proposition: to simplify IT for our customers, and do so in a way that delivers a high level of satisfaction. InMage's innovative technology definitely strengthens our portfolio in the Recovery as a Service market."

InMage ScoutCloud protects any customer server (physical or virtual) and can recover it nearly instantaneously as a virtual machine in the cloud. It bundles P2V with backup and remote replication, delivering true application-consistent data availability and block-level continuous data protection with failover/failback for any application. The provisioning manager automates nearly all aspects of the protection and recovery for VMware-based cloud offerings. The result is protection of both physical and virtual machines that reduces data loss to near zero.

"InMage's support for heterogeneous IT infrastructures with mixed platforms and storage has been a great fit for our customers, who can replicate from any kind of storage in their IT environment into Peak 10's cloud," said Ken Seitz, technology architect, Peak 10. "We work closely with our customers to make sure that our technology solutions meet their unique requirements. Those requirements can change over time so there is significant benefit and peace of mind knowing they have a solution no matter what kind of storage and server configuration they currently have, or choose to implement as their IT infrastructures grow."

ScoutCloud is a single, easy to deploy platform that gives managed services providers a competitive advantage in offering cloud-based recovery to their customers.

"The vBC Appliance, based upon the InMage technology, allows our customers to rapidly deploy a disaster recovery solution that is economical, easy to deploy, and provides recovery in just minutes," said Rob Tellone, chairman, vBC Technologies. "This is a fast-growing space, and we're able to capitalize on vBC's proprietary functionality with the InMage product to offer our customers a turn-key recovery solution that can be rapidly deployed, economical, and highly scalable. InMage's new physical-to-virtual (P2V) technology is a cornerstone for our Private Cloud Appliance offering, which delivers the most innovative business continuity solution for any company transitioning into a private cloud."

"ScoutCloud-based recovery can help small and medium sized customers accelerate their disaster recovery implementation by many months and generate significant savings, when compared to capital-intensive in house implementation," said Rajeev Atluri, chief technology officer, InMage Systems.
